humanity

and so easy it is, to blame the other
too easy, in fact, that we do it
all of the time

so easy it is to fault the other, as well
for choosing sides is so much faster than
finding understanding

and these are the games we play
with one another
day after day after day

and we wonder why we're so tired
always offending
always defending
never just being, together

and these are the splits that break us
that cause the shatterings of our beings
and we wonder why no one feels completed

it's silly
these fingers we keep pointing
these fingers that all of us, share

one big circle
of blasphemy

it's ridiculous.
